After 2 days rest and a run to Total Sports for new running shoes, I hit the gym this afternoon for a good run. So far, this life-style change has been going o-k. To be honest, I’m struggling a little with my diet – more in that I’m not sure what I should/shouldn’t be eating than eating the wrong things. I’ve 95% cut out sugar. 100% cut out all wheat-based carbs. It’s the good carbs/proteins mix that confuses me.. :/ I think my portions have been a little larger than they should be.
I was planning to get my budget, eating plan and gym schedule worked out this weekend, but it kind of got away from me. dammit. On the plus-side, I’m planning to have everything ready and working well by 1 Feb – for sleekgeek challenge, so I still have some time, at least.
Ok, so the run – I’m quite chuffed- I managed a bit better today than run #2, and only marginally worse than the first run, at: 11min run/ 2min walk/ 3min run / 2min walk/ 1.5min run/ 30s killzone-sprint. Again on 9 run, 5 walk, 12 sprint. Overall, happy body, although my new shoes chafed a little which isn’t that cool..
So, going better! I asked my trainer for my full initial specs, so here they are:
Height: 188cm (I think I’ve grown..)
Age: 32
Date: 17 Jan 2012.
Weight: 120kg
Fat %: 24.7%
Fat kg: 29.6kg
Lean kg: 90.4kg
BMI: 34.0
Water Lt: 66.2
Water %: 55.2%
Cool, so that’s that. Not a particularly pretty picture, but sufficient encouragement to be a better carbons mass than I have been up until now.
Hi-ho, here we go!

Wow, dude. Well done on getting out all of the measurements and whatnot. It’s the one thing I didn’t when I started. Out of fear, methinks.
Will be great to follow your progress though! Go, Cam, go!
